Through poetry, personal writing, and experimental narrative, our Cluster Project artists activate the still image by intersecting word and performance in response to the unseen stories held in photos from the Rod Slemmons archive. Curated performances will explore the quiet tension between what is captured in a photo and what slips away, what a photograph reveals, and what it leaves unsaid.
